The Scarlets got their supporters back into swing of regional rugby again this week by opening up their doors to a players training session on Monday (November 30th) night.
This was only the second time in the region's history that they opened up a session to the public - giving supporters young and older, the chance to watch their heroes prepare for their big Friday night encounter against second place Magners League opponents, Edinburgh.
The evening was a great success, and despite the chilly temperatures, supporters aged from 6 months to 60+ enjoyed the session, which was overseen and commented on via the stadium PA by Scarlets coaches Nigel Davies and John Muggleton.
All the star Scarlets performers took part in the big event, including the returning Wales internationals - Jonathan Davies and Martin Roberts.
The squad took time out after the session to meet supporters, sign autographs and posters, posed for pictures and chatted to hundreds of eager fans about their preparations for the Scarlets' match against Edinburgh on Friday night.
Captain Mark Jones, who is currently out injured, went along to meet supporters in the Scarlets Museum and Shop before the session started.
Scarlets Commercial Director, Rupert Moon said: "This was an opportunity for the whole Scarlets family - fans, players, coaches and Scarlets staff - to get together and enjoy the excitement in the run-up to our next big home game against Edinburgh this Friday evening.
"No other Welsh rugby regions have done this and it is our way of applauding our very loyal and passionate Scarlets supporters - by offering them something quite unique to watch and give them a rare insight into how our players and coaches prepare for games.
"This season at the Scarlets is all about connecting with our supporters and so by opening our doors at special events like this, we hope we're giving everyone another reason to really feel part of our big family."
