Jonathan Davies was brought up in Bancyfelin and played his first rugby at under-8s for St Clears and then Whitland up to under-16 level.
Jon is a product of the Scarlets academy system and is enjoying a hugely successful season with the Scarlets. He was part of the Wales tour of Canada over the summer and is hotly tipped to to be picked for Wales in the forthcoming autumn international series.
He has grabbed the attention of Wales coaches Warren Gatland and Rob Howley with some stunning individual performances already this season showing his strength, skill and tactical awareness on the field.
Living in Laugharne, when he has time-off Jon enjoys his cricket with Whitland Cricket Club (best score 54 not out) and loves to go kayacking.
STOP PRESS: Jonathan has been selected for Wales as a replacement for Saturday’s first autumn international against New Zealand at the Millennium Stadium.
