Allison Evans will once again be taking the cage bird show under her wing at the county show this year.
The 2008 show saw a turnout of 200 different entries, including budgerigars, canaries, finches and many more colourful breeds, and Mrs Evans is hopeful that better weather will bring in more again.
“Most people enter the birds on the day so we are never sure what’s going to turn up,” she said.
Entries will be accepted at the Cage Bird Hall (Zone A) up until 10am on Wednesday, August 19th, and judging commences at 10.30am prompt.
The birds will remain on display for visitors until Thursday afternoon, when prize money and trophies will be awarded. Every junior exhibitor will be awarded with a rosette.
