Young fans of the Wonder Pets television programme can develop some useful life skills through a new title specifically made for the Nintendo DS.

Wonder Pets! Save the Animals is based on the popular Nickelodeon show, with youngsters being joined by popular characters including Linny the guinea pig, turtle Tuck and Ming-Ming duckling.

In Wonder Pets! Save the Animals, a Bengal tiger, a chimpanzee and a baby panda are in trouble. Join Linny, Tuck and Ming-Ming on an adventure that takes you from the classroom to India, China and all the way to outer space.

The title teaches the importance of teamwork, while having fun on the group’s adventures. It features the authentic character voices of the Wonder Pets TV show, as well as an in-game helper.

The game features more than 24 games in adventure mode, plus three schoolhouse games.

Gamers will also be able to: l Use the stylus to drag together the objects in the classroom to build the Flyboat l Swim with Tuck to break out of his aquarium.

l Help the Wonder Pets get dressed for their adventures and add funny outfits to the costume box.

l Use the microphone to help Raji the mouse pull the thorn from the paw of the Bengal tiger.

l Take photos with your new friends for your postcard collection.
