A local teenager is in Withybush Hospital this morning with serious injuries after falling 70 foot down a cliff last night (Wednesday).
The woman, believed to be 19-years-old, fell down the steps cliff leading to Lindsway Beach, St. Ishmaels shortly before midnight.
She sustained serious injuries to her spine, pelvis, abdomen and ankle in the incident .
Milford Haven coastguard HQ were alerted to the accident shortly after 11.40pm last night. They dispatched Angle's inshore lifeboat to the bottom of the cliffs, coastguard teams from Dale and Broad Haven, as well as an ambulance and RAF rescue helicopter, were tasked.
Coastguards and paramedics made their way to the spot where the injured teenager lay. They placed the girl on a spinal board and carried her to the top of the cliff.
She was then carried onto the RAF rescue helicopter from Chivenor and airlifted to Withybush Hospital.
