Milford Haven coastguard co-ordinated the search for a missing man in the Aberystwyth area last night (Thursday).
Coastguard HQ were contacted at 7.51pm and tasked Aberystwyth and Borth coastguard rescue teams, Aberystwyth RNLI Inshore Lifeboat and the Cambrian sector manager to search for the man.
Dyfed-Powys Police and RAF Rescue Helicopter R122 from Valley, North Wales, were also involved in the search for the despondent 35-year-old.
He was eventually found in Aberystwyth town and taken to hospital.
However, later that night, at 11.23pm, he went missing for a second time and Milford Haven coastguard HQ helped Dyfed-Powys police co-ordinate a second search.
The man was found and this time was taken into police custody.
