A former Western Telegraph advertising executive will tonight (Monday) go head to head with two other contestants in the final of ITV reality series Natural Born Sellers.
Gavin Davies, aged 33, has pitted his selling skills against seven ruthless contestants who put their careers on hold and reputations on the line to take part in the series.
Tasks involved selling windows, furniture, limousines, hot tubs and cleaning products.
Each week the top dog, the salesman who has earned the most commission, gets to save one of the two underdogs, the least successful salesperson.
Gavin has been the underdog on several occasions. Last week he was one of the worst performing salesman but was saved by top dog Danny which guaranteed him a place in the final.
The final challenge for the three remaining contestants is to sell shares in a race horse to raise funds for the Caudwell charity. An organisation benefitting sick and disabled children across the UK.
"In the last task I focused on the charity side, and was just glad to have made it through to the final," Gavin told the Western Telegraph this morning (Monday).
He also remembered sound advice from his former boss and mentor at the Western Telegraph Tim Gould.
"If it wasn't for the Western Telegraph and Tim Gould I would not have got the opportunity to go on the show," he said.
"I did draw on what I'd learnt here to use. It was a different environment for me as it was the first time I'd sold face to face."
The final of Natural Born Sellers airs tonight on ITV at 10.40pm.
Log on later this week to watch a video interview with Gavin.
