Angle lifeboat was called out to the aid of a fishing boat in difficulties yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
The fishing vessel, Blaidd, ran into difficulties three miles south of St Annes Head. The propellor of the boat became tangled in rope, immobilising her. Despite the crews best effort they could not free the propellor at sea and Angle all weather lifeboat was called to her assistance.
In calm seas but with a strong Easterly wind, the fishing boat was then towed into Neyland marina, where she was hoisted out of the water and the problem rectified.
