Dear editor — I was pleased to hear health authorities are going to send out home testing kits for bowel cancer to people aged 60 to 69, but why the cut off age of 69?

Does this mean that once one reaches 70, they don’t matter anymore and can just hurry up and die?

As one who has just reached 70, I feel rather bemused by this news.
