Grants of over £20,000 were recommended by yesterday's (Monday's) Pembrokeshire County Council cabinet meeting.
Awards of £3,000 each from the Welsh Church Act Fund were recommended for Lamphey Church which needs £12,000 for internal redecoration; St Dogmaels Village Hall which is raising £35,000 towards a new sports floor; Carew Baptist Chapel 's £110,600 disabled provision and refurbishment; St Peter and St Cewydd Church, Steynton which needs £91,650 to improve the church hall; St Katherine's, Milford Haven £251,139 conservation repair fund and St Michael's Church, Rudbaxton to go towards £12,274 lime plaster repairs to the church tower.
Cabinet also recommended that Milford Haven Heritage and Maritime Museum receive a grant of £2,875 towards its £8,100 annual running, this recommendation now needs to be rubber-stamped by the full county council.
