Shop owners have been warned to be on their guard, following an attempted sleight of hand cash scam in Haverfordwest's Riverside shopping centre.
Two men entered the shop Game around 1pm on Friday October 31st. They bought an Xbox 360 with cash. During the transaction they used a sleight of hand to keep £100 and left the shop.
A short time later the men returned to Game and attempted to get a full refund on the Xbox. They were foiled by the shop manager who became suspicious during the transaction and retained the cash.
The men then left the shop.
The had dark skin and were possibly of Turkish origin. One man is described as large, around 5'9", with short dark hair and two gold teeth in the front of his mouth. He was wearing a dark tracksuit and white trainers.
The second man was in his mid 20s and slim, with dark straight hair and a foreign accent. He is around 5'8" tall and was wearing a short dark coat with a small jacket underneath.
Police are making enquiries in an attempt to track down the suspects. Anybody who knows who they are, who saw them in the Riverside area, or who has seen anyone trying to carry out a similar scam, is asked to contact PC 490 Brown at Haverfordwest police station on 0845 330 2000.
