It's a happy ending for three-year-old Aimee Warlow who was reunited with her pet rabbit Patch after a successful appeal in this week's Western Telegraph.
The four-month-old bunny, Patch, went missing overnight on October 15th in a suspected pet theft but was returned to the little girl last week as soon as the Western Telegraph hit the shops.
Aimee’s mum, Trish, said: “Aimee and I would like to say a big thank you to the Western Telegraph.
“Now Aimee has Patch back and she's over the moon.”
Trish had a knock at the door on the night of Tuesday, October 28th. A lady had seen Aimee's photo in the paper along with the picture of Patch and told Trish she had found him in her garden.
The rabbit had been a gift to Aimee from her father on her third birthday in September. Just weeks later the bunny had disappeared from its secure hutch in the family’s front garden in Pembroke Dock. Patch’s disappearance was devastating news to Aimee, who insisted on continuing to search for Patch long after he went missing.
The hutch has now been brought back indoors by cautious mum Trish who hopes that she and her daughter will soon be able to move to a new home with a secure back garden.
She said: "It's still a mystery- the lady who called over last night told me her garden is boarded up and nothing can get into it.
"Either way we are both just glad he is back, even if i have to move my living room around for him to stay in here!"
