Pembrokeshire County Councillors decided to increase their basic and special responsibility allowances at yesterday's (Thursday's) full council meeting.
The basic allowance is set to go up from £12,354 to £12,657, and all the rises are based on the 2.45% increase offered to local government employees for the coming year.
Special responsibility allowances will go up from £28,104 to £28,793 for the leader, and for cabinet members from £14,052 to £14,396.
Council leader, Cllr John Davies said: "The increases are in line with the 2.45% pay offer to local government employees.
"The Special Responsibility Allowance paid by the County Council is actually 20% below the maximum recommended by the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales."
Subsistence allowances go up to a day rate of £26, an overnight stay of £90 or £25 for a stay with relatives or friends. Co-opted members who chair council committees will received a maximum of £1,450 a year with a maximum for other co-optees of £760.
