A woman who admitted possessing 2.9 grammes of herbal cannabis in order to get her partner out of Haverfordwest police station was ordered to pay a total of £100 yesterday (Tuesday).
On September 24th Ceri Cheryl Louise Clark, of 92 Wavell Crescent, Pembroke Dock, and her partner were stopped by police in their car in Pembroke Dock. Officers found 2.9 grammes of herbal cannabis and took Clark's partner into custody.
During a later police search of their home Clark admitted to officers that the cannabis was hers and was for personal use.
James Subbiani, defending, said that 32-year-old Clark used to have a "significant heroin problem" but had not used the drug for more than four years.
"This is a massive success story," he said, "she does, however, from time to time use cannabis.
"To her credit she didn't keep schtum that the cannabis was hers. Her partner was released from custody and she cooperated fully with the police."
He said that it was a small amount of cannabis for personal use and that this was Clark's first offence in a period of four years.
Magistrates fined Clark £35 ordered her to pay £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
