A case of grievous bodily harm was today (Tuesday) committed to Swansea crown court by magistrates in Haverfordwest.
Joseph Whitbread of 21 Catshole Quarry in Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm.
It was alleged by prosecutor Vaughn Pritchard Jones that on April 22nd 2007 Whitbread hit a soldier in Pembroke, fracturing his right cheekbone.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction, committing the case for trial at Swansea Crown Court.
Alun Morgan, defending, said that his client intended to elect for crown court trial anyway.
Whitbread, aged 22, will appear in front of magistrates on December 4th for a committal hearing.
