Police have been given extra time to investigate a serious sexual assault that took place in Pembroke last Sunday.

Five men arrested in connection with the assault are still in custody, following a successful application by police late yesterday afternoon to question them for a further 36 hours.

An application to keep the sixth man in custody is due to be considerd by Haverfordwest magistrates court this morning.

The assault happened at 2.20am on October 12th in an alley way in Main Street opposite Brown’s cafe.

The alleyway leads to the Mill Pond.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have walked or driven past the alley at around the time of the attack.
