A key road in Haverfordwest was closed for three hours early this morning (Friday, October 11) after an incident sparked a large emergency services response.

Police say they were called to Freemens Way at around 12.30am due to the concern of the welfare of a person.

The road was closed for several hours while police remained at the scene before reopening at around 3.30am.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We received a call for a concern for the welfare of an individual on Freemens Way at around 12.30am on Friday, October 11.

"The road was closed and reopened just before 3.30am."
