A MOTORIST who caused a three-car crash at a junction on the A40 has admitted careless driving.

Helen Reemers, 56, of Newton Cross, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court charged with driving without due care and attention.

Reemers was driving a Toyota Aygo south on the A40 from the direction of Fishguard and was slowing with the intent of turning right at the junction on A4219.

At the same time, a Ford Focus was travelling north approaching the same junction.

Reemers turned across the road at the junction and crashed in to the Ford Focus, causing it to spin. This caused a further crash involving a Skoda Octavia which had been driving behind the defendant’s car.
