A 12th-century castle in Pembrokeshire is set to serve afternoon tea on select Sundays.
Roch Castle, located on a high rocky outcrop on the St Davids Peninsula, has announced a new series of autumn and winter dates for its popular afternoon tea service, following its successful launch last spring.
Guests can choose between a traditional afternoon tea menu or a high tea selection, both served on the first and second Sundays of each month.
The offerings include freshly cut finger sandwiches, cream and jam-topped scones, and a selection of homemade cakes, all accompanied by Hoogly loose leaf tea or coffee.
High tea also includes a parfait on brioche, a savoury crab tartlet, and a sausage roll.
Champagne is available for an additional cost for those over 18.
The afternoon tea service, priced at £29 per person and served in the first-floor dining/breakfast room between 2pm and 4.30pm, requires advance booking and full payment. High tea will be at a cost of £38. The champagne is £12 extra per glass.
The upcoming dates for the Sunday afternoon tea service are October 13, November 17, December 22, January 19, February 23, March 30, April 27, May 18, June 15, July 20, and August 17.
The menu will be given a festive twist for the December 22 service.
Roch Castle, which has been restored to include contemporary interiors and artworks by Welsh artists, offers panoramic views over St Brides Bay and the Preseli Hills from its fourth-floor sunroom and viewing platform.
However, due to its historical nature, the castle is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
The afternoon tea service is also not suitable for younger guests, as there is no children's menu.
People can make reservations by calling 01437 725 566 or emailing stay@rochcastle.com.
