The Cleddau Bridge on the A477 in Pembrokeshire was closed after police received a call reporting concern for the welfare of a person.
The bridge was closed from around 4.45pm on Friday, October 4 until 5.45pm that day.
The person on the bridge was transported for hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police received a call for a concern for the welfare of an individual on the Cleddau Bridge, at around 4.45pm on October 4.
“The road was closed for safety reasons and reopened at 5.45pm.
“The individual was taken to hospital for medical attention.”
