A young family has made their ‘dream a reality’ by becoming the new owners of a popular pub in Pembrokeshire.
Ashley Andrews and Sukie Richards now run The Brewery Inn, Cosheston.
The couple who have a son named Romeo, and a dog called 'Sunday' took over the pub from former owners John Lowdon and Steven Lester last week.
Sukie Richards, co-owner of The Brewery Inn said: “We are very excited. Cosheston is a really friendly community. My partner Ashley has been a chef for the last 12 years and we’re excited to make this dream a reality.
“This is the first pub we have owned. We’re quite good friends with the previous owners so we don’t plan to change too much. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. Ashley will soon introduce a new Winter menu and a Christmas menu.
“The reputation of the pub speaks for itself because it’s dog friendly and has a great community.
“We’re massive dog lovers as well and we will keep the tradition going. Ashley makes everything from scratch and all food is homemade. We are also focused on using local produce from Pembrokeshire.”
The Brewery Inn Cosheston is one of the most highly rated pubs in Pembrokeshire.
On Tripadvisor, the pub has over 900 reviews and an average rating of five stars out of five.
The pub also has over 500 reviews on Google and an average rating of 4.8 stars out of five.
John and Steve officially announced they would no longer be owners of The Brewery Inn on October 1 on a Facebook post.
They wrote: “Well, it’s official. After a long day we have now handed over The Brewery Inn Cosheston to new owners Sukie, Ashley, their little one Romeo and pub pug dog ‘Sunday.’
“A massive thank you to our amazing team who have supported us through the last 10 years.
“Thank you to all the wonderful guests who have supported and enjoyed our hospitality.
“Thank you to all our brilliant suppliers who have ensured the best local produce to ensure our guests get the best quality cuisine, and also to our professional service providers.
“We will miss the business immensely and give our full support to Ashley and Sukie to ensure the pub goes from strength to strength.
“They have some amazing plans so please support them as you have done with us.
“All our love and best wishes, John and Steve as well as Bella, Bertie and Bailey.”
