A Pembrokeshire training company has provided basic welder training to 36 participants this year.
Providence Training Ltd said all participants completed a test piece and achieved a TUV certified plate welder coding.
The company said this was a 'fantastic achievement' by both the individuals and the welding instructors.
The 15-day Skills Accelerator Project, run in partnership with Pembrokeshire College, is funded by the UK Government’s Social Prosperity Fund via Pembrokeshire County Council.
The aim of the project is to help address the skills shortage within the energy and engineering construction sectors.
Providence Training Ltd director, David Warrell BSc, said: "It is our objective to train participants with a range of site-based safety and site-based skills and encourage them to embark on an engineering construction career path which is both secure and financially rewarding."
Participants also gained a portfolio of ECITB PEP Awards, providing them with valuable safety and skills training in readiness for site or workshop employment.
Those who complete the training will be in a position to apply for work, apprenticeships or seek additional training via the college or ECITB initiatives such as the ‘work ready programme’.
