Firefighters were called to rescue "tangled and distressed" ducks at a Pembrokeshire river on Saturday (September 28).
A crew from Haverfordwest Fire Station helped release two ducks from a fishing line on the River Cleddau near Quay Street.
The ducks were caught in a net and then put in the RSPCA’s care.
A spokesperson for Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service said: “On Saturday, September 28, firefighters from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s Haverfordwest Fire Station were called to an incident on the River Cleddau near Quay Street.
“Following a request for assistance from the RSPCA, the crew responded to two ducks that had become tangled in a fishing line in the river and were in distress.
“After donning their wading gear, firefighters were able to catch the ducks in a net and release them from the fishing line before putting them in the care of the RSPCA.”
