Porthselau Beach is a charming location to visit in Pembrokeshire.
Based near the city of St Davids, Porthselau has a little enclosed sandy cove, gentle shelving ideal for sunbathing and is located near the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
The beach is rocky in places but there is enough sand to relax and enjoy activities such as bathing, swimming and canoeing.
However, the currents are strong, so it is advisable to check the tide times to have plenty of beach to play on.
At low tide it’s possible to walk from Porthselau to Whitesands, which is another stunning beach in the area.
Yet, the coast path offers a safer alternative for those who want to hop from one beach to another.
There is no parking at the beach, no facilities and no lifeguards so visitors should be careful when swimming in the sea.
Visitors must walk to Whitesands Beach for refreshments and other nearby amenities.
