Woman enjoying a popular nature reserve have been warned to venture out in pairs or avoid the area altogether, following reports of a man spitting at lone female joggers and walkers.
Reports on social media have warned of a man who is approaching lone women walking or jogging at Westfield Pill Nature Reserve in Neyland and allegedly pushing them and spitting at them.
The social media post said that there had been repeated incidents and warned women to either go out in pairs or avoid the area.
Dyfed-Powys Police said that it is investigating the matter and that patrols in the area should increase.
“Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a male, allegedly shouting and spitting at members of the public, near to the Westfield Pill Nature Reserve in Neyland, on Thursday Sept 19,” said a statement from the force.
“Our enquiries continue to identify the person involved.
“The public may see an increase of patrols in the area from local and neighbourhood officers.”
