A call out for a Pembrokeshire lifeboat crew this week marked a first for the station.
St Davids Inshore Lifeboat was called out on Tuesday lunchtime following reports of two people believed to be struggling in their dingy in the Pointz Castle area.
The lifeboat, with crew member Ellen at the helm for the first time, raced to the reported casualty just east of Solva.
The lifeboat crew met with the two people onboard the dingy. They both said that they were fine and well.
The lifeboat gave them some safety advice and took their contact details and intentions to pass on to the coastguard.
The shout came in the same week that the inshore lifeboat was taken on exercise by an all female crew for the first time ever with Ellen on the helm and Ella, Jem, and Sophie as crew.
