A Ceredigion man has admitted sexually assaulting a teenage girl while she was asleep.
Kevin Hazelgrave appeared at Swansea Crown Court on Monday, to plead guilty to sexual assault.
Hazlegrave, 23, of Llanio Road, Tregaron, had initially denied the charge and his trial date was set for Monday, September 16.
However, this morning he entered a guilty plea to the charge of sexually assaulting a female without her consent and not believing that she had consented.
The assault took place on February 3, 2022.
Judge her honour Catherine Richards KC said that the victim was particularly vulnerable due to her age and the fact that she had been asleep at the time of the assault.
She adjourned sentencing to next month in order for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Prosecutor Jon Tarrant said that Hazlegrave had been of clean character prior to this, and that no further offending had taken place.
She told Hazlegrave that he would now be subject of a sexual offender notification order and that he remained on conditional bail until his sentencing.
