Tenby seaside pub rated as one of Pembrokeshire's best

Hope & Anchor has over 1400 reviews on Tripadvisor and an average rating of four stars out of five.

Based in Tenby on St Julian Street, numerous reviews praise the pub for serving excellent sea bass, lobster and mussels.

The establishment has received four five-star reviews this month (September 2024) on Tripadvisor.

Some reviews praise the pub's mussels. (Image: Google Maps) One review wrote: “We had a fantastic seafood lunch while in Tenby. We had delicious food! I had excellent sea bass. My partner had a very tasty and well-priced lobster.

“The service was excellent and there was a fantastic selection of beer including a wide variety of Harbwr Brewery local beer!”

Another review said: “This place holds a special place in my heart as it was the first venue my wife and I visited over 15 years ago. It was perfect then and was fantastic when we came for food yesterday.

“The food was lovely; the beer was flowing, and the staff were amazing. We had a great time until closing and we look forward to going there again later today. Special shout out to Dec, keep rocking buddy!”

“Since it was a bit chilly, the helpful young server turned on the overhead heater. My husband had an enormous fish pie, and I had a huge pile of very good quality mussels and fresh bread.

“We shared a bowl of chips. All the food was excellent and arrived promptly. As I can’t drink alcohol due to a medical condition, I was glad to be offered an alcohol free larger and lime which was delicious.”
