A local lifeboat was launched yesterday following reports that a person was cut off by the tide in a remote bay.
St Davids RNLI inshore lifeboat raced to Caerfai Bay shortly before 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 4, after HM Coastguard HQ received reports of a person trapped on the rocks by the incoming tide.
HM Coastguard St Davids was also tasked.
As St Davids Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) arrived on scene, HM Coastguard - St Davids determined that the individual was safe and well and fishing off the rocks.
The report was considered a false alarm call out with good intentions.
St Davids ILB returned to station, rehousing shortly after 8pm ready for the next shout.
