An ancient oak tree has been criminally damaged, leaving it in a perilous state.
The oak tree on a rural B road was damaged by a chainsaw between August 28 and 30.
Police are investigating the damage and are asking anybody with any information to get in touch.
“Police are investigating a case of criminal damage to an oak tree on the Blaenffoss to Croswell Road,” said a police statement.
“The circumstances being that sometime between Wednesday, August 28 and August 30, an oak tree has been partially cut with a chainsaw leaving it in a dangerous condition.
“Anyone with any information should contact PC Lewis 308 at Crymych Police Station on 101.”
