Lifeboat crews rushed to the aid of beachgoers who were reported cut off by the tide at a Pembrokeshire beach yesterday (Sunday, September 1).
Tenby's RNLI Lifeboat was launched shortly before 5pm to reports that people had been cut off by the incoming tide on rocks below the town's Imperial Hotel.
Although crews were quick on the scene, they discovered that those who had been in danger had managed to clamber to safety.
A spokesperson for Tenby Lifeboats RNLI said: "The volunteer crew was quickly on scene and were assisted by the RNLI lifeguards in what would turn out to be their final joint shout together, before the lifeguards finished on the beaches later in the day.
"With nobody found, the lifeboat crew spoke to some swimmers in the area who confirmed that the people had managed to get ashore themselves and were last seen heading up the steps into town.
"With nobody left in danger, all units stood down, with the lifeboat returning to station."
