A group of people walked from St Davids to walk across Wales and England to raise money and awareness for homelessness.
The Emmaus South Wales group in Bridgend has joined the Walk of Kindness, a 450-mile trek that began at St Davids earlier this week.
The walk follows Via Beata, a newly established pilgrimage route, and was initiated by Emmaus Norfolk and Waveney.
Four residents, referred to as companions, are participating in the six-week walk.
On August 27, companions from Emmaus South Wales in Bridgend joined the trek in St Davids.
Scott Durham, community and development support worker in Bridgend, said: "Raising money for homeless people is a fantastic cause and we wanted to bring the two communities together.
"All the companions on the walk were really keen to get involved."
One of the new companions, Jimmy O'Brien, is a 53-year-old recovering drug addict and former rough sleeper.
He said: "I've come on leaps and bounds thanks to Emmaus.
"I'm proud to be on the Walk of Kindness because I want to give something back to Emmaus.
"I feel good, it's a positive thing."
Cecile Roberts, chief executive of Emmaus Norfolk and Waveney, who plans to complete the entire 450 miles, said: "It's really great to have our counterparts from Wales on the walk with us even for just one day.
"Solidarity is so important to Emmaus and this really feels like solidarity."
The walk is expected to conclude at Emmaus Norfolk and Waveney on October 10, World Homeless Day.
