The Cambrian Inn has over 1800 reviews on Tripadvisor and an average rating of four and a half stars out of five.
Located in Solva, the pub offers a selection of seafood such as seared fillet of seabass and beer battered fresh haddock in addition to meaty options like rib-eye steak, sirloin steak and Welsh lamb rump.
A review from this month (August 2024) wrote: “Nice for family dinner and it’s dog-friendly! We had just arrived in Solva after a long car journey and The Cambrian Inn was next to our house so we thought we would give it a go.
“It was just as well we booked prior to arrival as it was packed out! There was plenty to choose from for the kids and adults.
“I had the curry, which was excellent, and my wife loved her sea bass which she said tasted very fresh and had delicious veg to accompany it.
“The kids cleaned all their plates, and they also sell dog treats at the bar which was a lovely touch and kept them occupied while we enjoyed our meal! The outside terrace is a lovely little sun trap for late afternoon drinks.”
A review from last month (July 2024) added: “Having read the reviews I was looking forward to the meal. It did not disappoint. They had just changed the menu, and we were the lucky recipients.
“The duck bon bons were delicious, as was the duck rillette. Another piece of brioche was provided on request. The prawns looked plentiful. We then went for the lamb rump and were hit with amazing flavours and tenderness.
“It was a wonderful meal with some interesting ales. The service was excellent too.”
Meanwhile, one review from two months ago (June 2024) said: “Fantastic location and the service was second to none.
“Management made sure the whole evening and the meal was very special for the bride and her six bridesmaids the night before the wedding. Thank you so much. As we are relatively local, we will definitely be back.”
