A popular sitcom is being brought back to life at a Milford Haven theatre.
The Torch Theatre will welcome two actors, two microphones, and more than 25 characters as The Dad's Army Radio Show comes to Pembrokeshire.
This stage production, adapted for radio for the first time, is based on Perry and Croft's classic BBC comedy, Dad's Army.
David Benson, known for Goodnight Sweetheart and One Man, Two Guvnors, and Jack Lane, recognised for Wisdom of a Fool and 7 Days, will transport audiences back to Walmington.
They will work from original television scripts, complete with sound effects, vintage music, and all of Perry and Croft's beloved characters and catchphrases.
The show features three episodes adapted for the 2024 stage: The Love of Three Oranges, The Miser's Hoard, and The Making of Private Pike.
Mr Benson describes Dad's Army Radio Show as 'the best idea I ever had' and inviting Lane to perform with him as 'the second-best idea I ever had.'
The tour has been well received, with the Radio Times giving the production five stars.
The review said: "David Benson and Jack Lane turn in sterling work as Walker and Pike respectively.
"Their touring Dad's Army Radio Show is superb; do catch it if you can.
"Benson and Lane’s two-man Army are a comedy force to be reckoned with."
Tickets for the show on October 5 at 7.30pm are £23.
People can book their tickets by contacting the box office on 01646 695267 or visiting the Torch Theatre website.
