The organisers of Tenby Summer Spectacular are on weather watch ahead of Sunday's event.
The town's first Spectacular of the season, on Sunday August 11, took place in ideal conditions, but the forecast is not looking so positive for this coming Sunday's event.
The Spectacular - the final one of the summer - is due to take place at Tenby Harbour between 3pm and 10pm, with a full line-up of music and entertainment - plus food and drink - ahead of the 10pm fireworks display.
Risk assessment
The professional fireworks company will be carrying out a risk assessment on the day to ensure that conditions are optimum to stage the display.
Tenby Round Table posted on Facebook on the morning of Friday August 23: "We are keeping an eye on a very changeable weather forecast for this Sunday's Summer Spectacular - but based on the current forecast, we hope to go ahead with the event!
Weather dependant
"Obviously the event is weather dependant and we need to be mindful of those that are attending and the viability of it as a charity fundraiser so will update on here if that changes (no need to message us).
"The professional fireworks company we use for the display at 10pm conduct risk assessments on the day to ensure it is safe for the display to go ahead (based on wind strength and direction as well as rain), if there is any change to the display we will post an update.
"Keep your fingers crossed! Hopefully see you all this Sunday!"
