A VAN driver has been in court after being caught on camera not leaving enough room for a cyclist.
Luke Griffiths, 31, of Skylark Road in North Cornelly, near Bridgend, was driving a Vauxhall Vivaro panel van on the B4341 in Haverfordwest on January 4.
Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard that a cyclist was also going along the B4341 when Griffiths’ van passed them “extremely closely” – having not allowed sufficient space to pass safely.

The incident was caught on the cyclist’s GoPro camera.
Griffiths’ driving was alleged to have fallen below the standard of a careful and competent driver, and he was charged with careless driving.
He pleaded guilty on August 14, and had three points put on his licence.
Griffiths was told to pay a £115 fine, £110 in costs and a £46 surcharge.
