THIS week’s Fabulous Five from Greenacres Rescue are searching for the perfect family to adopt them.
The first pup to mention is Rolo, a nine-month-old Crossbreed who started her journey in a council holding pound.
Despite having a rough start to life, Rolo is filled with kindness, warmth and an outgoing nature which allows her to become friends with whoever she meets.
As a young dog, Rolo needs the right guidance and patience from an owner to bring out the full extent of her personality.
Rolo is a great choice for young families who could benefit from a canine companion, growing alongside their young children.
Second on the list is Fig, a one-year-old Tortie and White feline enchantress looking for a home to share her charm and affection.
Like most cats, Fig is a bit of a cool customer, but don’t underestimate her longing for human connection and her willingness to affectionate when she is comfortable with you.
If you choose to adopt Fig, you will never feel alone when watching TV on the couch, because she will be there to cuddle, play and brighten your day.
Next, we have Carreg, a 20-year-old handsome Shetland Pony gelding who is a proper gentleman.
Currently part of a mixed herd, Carreg is easy to handle, likes to stand and is relishing someone to make him the centre of their world.
Carreg is up to date with dentals, farrier and parasite treatment – the only thing he needs is a warm home to live out the rest of his days.
Fourth to mention is Dexter, a ten-year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who would suit a physically active family.
Dexter’s not the youngest dog, but that doesn’t stop him from having bundles of energy and always wanting to go for a walk.
As he craves human attention, Dexter would prefer a household where he is the sole pet so he can be showered with loving strokes and pats.
Dexter is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and comes with five weeks of free Agria pet insurance.
Finally, we have Shara, a nine-year-old black semi-long-haired cat in search of a relaxing and peaceful home.
Her calm and elegant nature means Shara will thrive in a household without too much noise or chaos.
However, Shara gets on well with other felines so she would have no problem moving in with a new playmate.
Shara is beautiful, inside and out – she deserves a caring family to make the most of her kindness and gentle curiosity.
