A seaside spot in Pembrokeshire has been named among the UK's best for food and drink.

From St Andrews in Scotland and Llandudno in North Wales to Fowey in Cornwall, Which? has come up with a list of the best seaside towns/cities in the UK for food and drink.

The results are based off a survey of around 5,000 of the consumer watchdogs members.

Introducing the list, Which? said: "The food available at the British seaside has improved hugely.

Best beaches in the UK

"There's now somewhere special to eat in every part of the coastline - from St Andrews in Scotland to Fowey in Cornwall.

"A total of 21 seaside towns got impressive, four star ratings for food and drink in our latest survey.

"Almost 5,000 Which? members gave us their views on the best and worst seaside towns.

"They rated everything from the beaches to the tourist attractions, but in some places the biggest attraction is still the perfect fish and chips or, increasingly, something more sophisticated."

Why St Davids is among the best seaside spots in the UK for food and drink

St Davids was one of three seaside spots in Wales to feature among the UK's best for food and drink.

It recorded four stars from the Which? survey along with a destination score of 80%, just 2% behind St Andrews which claimed top spot.

The consumer watchdog said: "St David’s has an impressive reputation for food - considering it’s one of the UK’s smallest cities, with a population of just 1,751.

"A small part of that is probably due to the popular Welshcakes (traditional, sweet bread) on sale at MamGu - which is based in the ruins of St Mary’s Chapel - part of the cathedral.

"The terrace of The Bishops pub is one of the best places to admire the cathedral. It serves local beers and has a menu that includes Moules Mariniere, fish pie, and pub classics."

St Davids was also named among the best seaside towns in the UK by Which? back in July.

The seaside town was named ninth best behind the likes of Porthmeirion, St Davids and Bamburgh.
