Welsh artist and Pembrokeshire College alumni, Caitlin Flood-Molyneux, is stirring the art world with her latest exhibition.

The new exhibition is called 'Going Away in Order to Return,' and is currently on display at HaverHub in Haverfordwest and funded by Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.

It it is an intimate walkthrough of her life using storytelling imagery.

It explores themes of travel, mental health, and our emotional connections with visual symbols, inviting viewers not just to see but also to reflect on their own experiences and emotions.

This is Ms Flood-Molyneux's look at pop culture imagery and its emotional weight of memory.

She uses found imagery and abstract painterly to explore the experiences of hardship.

The Haverforwest exhibition is the start of a broader tour with visits to Porth and Cardiff coming up.

The exhibition will be open for viewing until June 26.

Ms Flood-Molyneux said: "I feel very humbled to put up an exhibition in my hometown, a very proud moment.

"I've always been creative since a young age, and as soon as I was old enough to go to College, that's when I started pursuing my passion.

"My mum was an artist herself, so it's really nice to be able to follow my dream, and College helped me do that as well."

Inspired by DADA and early Pop Art, Ms Flood-Molyneux's innovate approach involves using historical imagery to evoke memories, crafting a visual language that is personal yet broadly relatable.

She begins with collages, using cutouts of emotive imagery, and transforms it through different media forms, ranging from oil paint to aerosol.

This unique approach allows her to express a spectrum of emotions, from love and loss to grief and anger.

Raised in Haverfordwest, Ms Flood- Molyneux has a graduate degree from the MFA program at the Cardiff School of Art.

She is a globally exhibited artist with recognitions from prestigious places including Christie’s and Sotheby’s Auction House in London, and was shortlisted for the eminent Forbes 30 in May this year.

She was also a delegate at a conference in Botswana.

As an artist and educator, her mission is to empower and inspire creatively curious people to see creativity as tool for personal growth and wellness.

To her, art has been a way to process challenging emotions, placing a strong belief in its therapeutic power.
