A police helicopter was dispatched to the wilds of Pembrokeshire in the early hours of this morning, along with six police cars, as part of a search operation.
Locals living on Dinas Mountain were woken by the helicopter which was searching the mountain and the surrounding area for a missing person.
The Western Telegraph understands that the helicopter search took place at around 2am this morning.
The person was reported missing at 10.45pm yesterday. They were reported home safe and well at 10.20am today.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said that the person is now safe and well at home.
“It [the police helicopter] was [dispatched] in connection with a report of a missing person who is now home," said the spokesperson.
"Six police units (cars) and the NPAS helicopter were involved in the search (for varying amounts of time).
"The missing report was made at 10.45pm last night. The person made contact with their family at 10.20am today.
"They were confirmed to be home safe and well, and seen by an officer at 11.54am."
