There was a major police presence in Pembroke Dock town centre on Thursday evening (15 June).

Police firearm officers, police dog handlers, paramedics and fire responders were called to an undisclosed address near Bush Street just after 9pm.

It is understood that a section of Bush Street between Laws Street and Lewis Street was cordoned off.

A eyewitness said that the emergency services appeared to be focusing their attention around a block of flats in Bush Street.

Just before midnight, Pembroke Dock police confirmed that a 64-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of making malicious communications. She is now in police custody.

A police statement said: “Officers attended a property on Bush Street, Pembroke Dock shortly after 9pm today (Thursday 15 June), following a report of an individual threatening to harm to themself.

“Due to the nature of the call and information shared, a multi-agency response was appropriate and residents will have seen numerous emergency service vehicles in the area.

"A 64 year old female has since been arrested on suspicion of malicious communications and is now in police custody.

“Those in the vicinity of the property are thanked for their patience while we worked to bring this incident to a swift and safe conclusion.”
