Dear editor - I was sorry to see the two linked letters in the March 19th edition concerning East Blockhouse, Angle.
The letters contain inaccuracies and a misunderstanding of the situation which I thought I should correct.
First of all the recent planning permission at East Blockhouse, Angle was granted by an independent Welsh Assembly inspector, and not the national park authority.
Secondly, all planning permissions relate to the specific circumstances in question, and precedent only occurs if those same circumstances reoccur.
In relation to the other letter, Mr and Mrs Harris did have a full reply to their concerns, and I would have thought it a matter of simple courtesy to inform us if they were not satisfied on any point.
Mr Meopham did not of course, have any "undue involvement in the processing of (their) application", as raised by the correspondent.
Thank you for the opportunity of correcting these points.
Cllr Simon Hancock Chairman, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
