A Vietnamese woman from Saundersfoot tried to get a job using a passport stolen during an armed raid in Marseilles in the south of France, a judge heard today.
Thi Nguyen, aged 25, of St Bride's Hill, Saundersfoot, is accused of providing false information while applying for a National Insurance number and possessing a false passport.
Judge Christopher Morton, sitting at Swansea crown court, was told that Nguyen had made an application for a job at Carmarthen JobCentre.
As part of the process she had provided a French passport. Enquiries revealed the passport to have been amongst a batch stolen during the armed robbery in 2004.
Nguyen was remanded in custody until May 16th when she will be asked to enter pleas at a case management hearing.
