A couple in Milford Haven were left baffled recently when their pet cat made an epic 100-mile journey across Wales to find them.
Ellie and Jim Howells, from Newport, Gwent, regularly travel back and forth to their rented house in Milford Haven, with dog and cat in tow.
But as the couple set out for Pembrokeshire in February they had to leave cat Dougie behind as he couldn't be found.
But two weeks after going missing, 100 miles from Newport and 17 miles from Milford, Dougie was found distressed and wet on a Narberth caravan site, and was delivered to the Ellesmere Animal Rescue Centre, in Letterston.
Ellie Morris, who runs the centre said: "Luckily he was microchipped and we managed to trace his owners."
Now reunited, Dougie's owners are unsure whether he was catnapped, a puss in the boot, or if he made the trip on his own four legs.
"We've got no idea what happened," said Ellie.
