Dear editor - We write regarding the article A second complaint is received' (Western Telegraph, February 20th).
We did indeed write a letter of complaint to the National Park regarding Gary Meopham's involvement in the consideration of our planning application.
However, at no stage have we stated that Mr Meopham did not reveal who he was. In fact, to the contrary, he made his status within the national park very clear at the site visit.
We said what he did not make clear to the members was the fact that his property is adjacent to our site and therefore he has a personal interest in our application.
Also, our letter lists a number of other concerns. One of these relates to a previous letter of July 8th, 2007, asking if Mr Meopham had any undue involvement in the processing of our application.
Although the National Parks replied, they did not answer this question to our satisfaction.
Richard and Eleanor Harris Evelegh Road, Portsmouth.
