The second stage of a massive coastal search for two missing walkers is about to take place.
May and Andrew Barbour were last seen at Poppit Sands and have gone missing on the coast path between Poppit and Newport.
The couple were last seen at Poppit youth hostel yesterday. They told staff at the hostel that they intended to walk to Newport and had booked beds at Newport Hostel for last night.
The Barbours failed to arrive at the hostel and police and coastguards began searching for them in the early hours of this morning.
Coastguard search and rescue teams from Fishguard, Moylegrove were Penryhn were tasked to help police at 3am, the helicopter from RAF Chivenor also joined the search.
Coastguards confirmed that the second stage of the search will commence at at 10.00 this morning, Fishguard lifeboat and a police launch will join the existing search teams.
The Barbours are described as in their late 30s from the London area. Andrew is 5'11" and was wearing a red fleece. May is described as being shorter than Andrew and has brown hair. She was wearing cream trousers.
