A 40 tonne lorry fell onto its side on the Rosslare to Fishguard ferry in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Irish lorry landed on two other vehicles when it overturned in poor weather conditions.
Fire crews were called to the Goodwick port at 3.06am, but were unable to assist because of the vehicle's size.
A heavy rescue company recovered the lorry, which was undamaged by the ordeal, and is thought to have carried on its journey.
