A Milford Haven man was granted a 12-month conditional discharge at Haverfordwest magistrates court today, after pleading guilty to stealing from Tesco.
The court heard how Shane Leonard Searle, aged 27, of 5 Chestnut Way, Mount Estate, Milford Haven, stole food and over the counter medication to the value of £10.58 from Tesco.
A warrant was issued for Searle's arrest after he failed to attend a court hearing on January 15th. He was arrested by police officers in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The court heard that he had attended court on the 15th and registered with the security guards, before leaving to attend a college course.
Magistrates said that they had taken Searle's guilty plea and the relatively low value of the goods stolen into account and granted him a conditional discharge for 12 months. He was ordered to pay costs of £60.
