World Snow Day might not be a day you have heard of before, but it soemthing that 44 countries around the globe will take part in this year

Organised by the International Ski Federation, it is part of a campaign to introduce children to snow and to sports that take place on snow, and it will take place on January 16 this year.

As part of this you may be inspired to get involved with such alpine activities and there are a number of clothes that will need to be worn for the task.

We've highlighted a number of items that would be useful for skiiing or other alpine sports, as well as winter clothes in general.
