A 90-mile walk to celebrate the 90-year anniversary of Guide Dogs is currently underway by the charity's Pembrokeshire branch treasurer, Sheila Ravenscroft.
Sheila is walking three miles a day this month to mark Guide Dogs' nine decades of helping people with sight loss live the life they choose.
The UK’s first guide dog partnerships qualified 90 years ago, thanks to two innovative women and four incredible dogs - Flash, Folly, Meta and Judy - in a lock-up garage in Merseyside.
Sheila is seeking sponsorship via her Just Giving page and is being supported by The Silent Monks of the Monastery of Monkstonial - alias Saundersfoot walkers Lyn Sandall, Debbie Ludlow and Lyn Knibbs - who will be appearing somewhere different every day during November.
The Pembrokeshire branch of Guide Dogs Cymru’s annual festive coffee morning takes place at The Boathouse, Saundersfoot, on Wednesday, November 17, from 10.30am. £3 entry includes coffee and biscuits and there will be a raffle, plus Christmas cards and gifts for sale.
